Yes, heavens above, that does look good, and I had a feeling it
was going that way.

Its really neat and compact, using the space really well.

The 1300 engine may not utilize it as a larger engine would,
but everything's in place when the time comes, and you can upgrade a bit.
Though that said, the system will do the business with the extraction
whatever the size.... :D

Really great job Tony

Peter :hippy:

Hi Tony, your new exhaust is en-route as we speak so should be with you tomorrow or weds at the latest.
it's quite a tricky one so if you need any fitting advice please holla.
remember use just a little of the sealer just before the bottom of the swage so that when you push the pipes into the collector the sealer balls up and makes a better seal.

all the best Mike.

Mike - its arrived!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

If anyone wants to make a few quid I would by shares in Autosol now! Looks like I will be personally driving the share price up over the next few months :D :D

I only opened up a couple of the sections and they look fantastic. I am away for the next couple of days so it will be weekend before I try to assemble it. Hopefully shouldnt be a problem but if I get stuck - will give you a shout.

From what I can see have to say - your workmanship is so good - a real quality job! Thankyou :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Well turned out to be not quite the weekend I expected - the plan was to fit the exhaust and the carbs and if I got time the new rocker covers as well. Was away last week so when I did get home I had notice of parcels that had been delivered. Got them on Saturday and openend them up looking forward to doing some jobs on the buggy......

Cool air did it to me again! This is the third time I have ordered things from them and the third time I have been sent different items! Called them up and even spoke to the guy that I placed the order with. He recalled me asking specifically for "Fibre" gaskets for my new exhaust. But standard metal ones had been sent :( :( :( :( And that was the end of my plans for the weekend. No gaskets, no fitting of exhaust, not fitting of carbs as no space with the old cannons, no fitting of rocker covers as no space with the cannons......

So not looking good for VW NW - wanted the new system on but dont think I will get chance even if VW Heritage (who came to the rescue) can get me the gaskets early in the week. :( :( :( :( :(

As a result my exhaust plans may change. I am thinking of sending it to a prof - polishing place. I love the system and just think it may be worth that extra bit of a shine before I get it fitted (as once its on I am unlikely to take it off again). So plan b is now to get a couple of quotes for "mirror" finish polishing - sorry anti bling people - I just cant help my self

Now have a look at this jig saw

Took a bit of thought and time but soon got the hang of it and transforms into this......

Cant wait to see what it looks like on and how it sounds :D :D :D :D

:hangloose: Thanks Mark we test fired the engine Sunday after I got back from Essex on the button first time the Ducatti pipes are all I expected and more. One of my brass inlet pipes on the carbs was slightly bent so I have had two new ones made up at the engineers today these will be fitted this week and I can finally start to give you a run for your money. Best wishes as always Kev ;) ;)
