AM Code 1300 Beetle IRS Gearbox – it arrived in a car with no engine but I was told it was stuck in gear.. I removed the nose cone and the hockey stick was wedged between gears.. it now changes gear but I know nothing about it.. so sold for spares / repairs
I am not a fan of selling gearboxes as I haven’t had them apart and can’t see what is going on inside them.
So unless I have driven them it is hard to gauge how good they are and so a strip and maybe rebuild is always recommended although they could be fine.
Gearboxes are sold on this basis.
