Automatic gearbox – had been standing around 11 years, near the sea… – untested –
Ancillaries are rotten but still turns OK – Sold for spares etc as untested / Unknown
I am not a fan of selling gearboxes as I haven’t had them apart and can’t see what is going on inside them.
So unless I have driven them it is hard to gauge how good they are and so a strip and maybe rebuild is always recommended although they could be fine.
Gearboxes are sold on this basis.
